Paul Slavik began his insurance career at a top fortune 50 insurance company which allowed him to open his own agency in Alpharetta, Georgia. After a few years he realized he would rather work for the client rather than the company leading to the formation of North Point Insurance Group. Being an independent insurance broker, we now have the ability to keep our client’s best interest in mind rather than lookout for the insurance company. When you go to a big CAPTIVE AGENCY (an agency that is only able to sell one company), that agent has no choice but to tell you their company is the best. We got tired of trying to defend one company so we decided to gain access to multiple companies to lookout for YOU. Instead of working for an insurance company we now work for our clients!
Paul Slavik
Paul grew up in Alpharetta, GA which has quickly become one of Georgia’s most thriving cities. He went to Alpharetta High school and then went to Valdosta State University where he obtained his B.S. in Biology. Paul Is very involved in the community through the Alpharetta Rotary Club and participates in many local community events. Outside of work Paul enjoys whiskey, tacos, dogs, and hunting ducks with his friends. Paul has been in the insurance industry for over 6 years. After owning a captive agency for a few years he decided to switch to the independent side which provided more options and freedom!
James Kyles
James joined our team in September of 2020. He was born and raised in Atlanta, Ga. James attended Georgia State University, where he was a member of the men’s golf team. In his free time, you will find James at Berkeley Hills Country Club, playing in amateur golf tournaments, or at the ice rink playing in local adult hockey leagues. Laurence Tarver
Laurence grew up in Alpharetta, GA. Graduating from Milton high school and going on to obtain a B.S in business communications. Laurence has been part of the insurance industry for nearly 10 years. Having developed a passion for insurance that rivals his love for cooking and the outdoors, in his time off you can find Laurence out hiking or rock climbing all around the south east. The two things that makes Laurence excited are a unique insurance problem to be solved or a recipe that he’s never cooked before. While Laurence started his career as a captive agent, he decided to make the change to being an independent agent to better solve and provide for his clients specialized needs. Jason Kim
Jason is a Long Island native who ventured down to Georgia in 2008, fresh off the heels of graduating form Binghamton University. The South has been his home ever since, embracing its warmth, both in climate and community. At his core, Jason is a family man, devoted to his incredible wife and two lively sons, Eli and Isaac, who keep his life interesting.
His passions extend beyond family into the realm of games – not just any games, but those that challenge the mind and demand strategic thinking. Maggie Kyles
Maggie was born and raised in McDonough, GA and graduated from Union Grove High School. She then went onto study in the city and earned a B.S. in Hospitality Administration from Georgia State University. Maggie loves to cuddle and play with her dog, Harry, and keep up with the latest reality shows in her spare time. She also enjoys spending quality time with her friends, family, and especially with her husband at Atlanta Gladiator Hockey Games. Maggie is excited to bring her skills to the insurance industry here at North Point Insurance Group as an Account Manager.
Shelby Heller
Shelby is originally from Loganville, GA, and currently resides in Sandy Springs, GA. Shelby attended Georgia Gwinnett College, where she received a B.S. in Environmental Science. In her free time, she enjoys a night out at a Braves game, and spending time outside, whether it be on a hike or out for a leisurely walk. She also enjoys time spent with her fur babies, Fez and Teo. Her love for animals led her into the insurance world, and as she was previously an agent and team lead in pet insurance. Her desire to expand her experience in insurance has led her to North Point Insurance Group.
Paulo Moraes
Paulo hails from the suburbs of Goiânia, Brazil until moving to the states and has been in the greater Atlanta area since. Paulo Graduated Centennial High school and went to Gwinnett Technical college for cybersecurity after. Outside of work, you may find him at your local 5-side tournament kicking a soccer ball with his friends or cheering for his favorite team. (Visca Barca!) Competitive in the pitch and out he’ll be sure to meet and exceed your every need. He discovered his love for helping others over the years in service industry. While new to the insurance scene his work ethic and determination to take great care of clients stand out.
